Idoling!!! going through a time slot change

As of 11/8 the Idoling!!! show airing on Fuji TV ONE will be shifted one hour to 18:00~18:30 instead of the previous time slot which was set one hour earlier.

Idoling!!! 14th Single - eve

Idoling!!!'s 14th single is called eve and will be released on 11/23. The tracklist is as followed:

A full radio rip is available of the a-side, and a digest version of the PV was aired on former Idoling!!! Nikki (Now just called Idoling!!! like the CS show). The group also did a live performance during the 4th anniversary broadcast.

Idoling!!! 13th Single - Poolside Daisakusen

I know it's kind of late for this, but better late than never, right? Anyway, here are the details of Idoling!!!'s 13th single, Poolside Daisakusen. The tracklist is as follows:

1 - プールサイド大作戦 [Poolside Daisakusen]
2 - GO EAST!!! GO WEST!!!
3 - ドキドキが止まらない [Dokidoki ga Tomaranai]
4 - プールサイド大作戦 (Instrumental) [Poolside Daisakusen (Instrumental)]

For the B-sides on this single, the group was split evenly in half with the older members singing GO EAST!!! GO WEST!!! and the younger members singing Dokidoki ga Tomaranai.

This single will be released in three editions on August 4, 2010. The differences between the editions are very similar to the previous single. Limited edition A (PCCA-03216) comes with a trading card and a DVD featuring the PV and making videos for both the PV and the CD covers. Limited edition B (PCCA-03217) comes with a QT card that has a QR code that a Japanese cell phone can use to access exclusive Idoling!!! videos. The standard edition (PCCA-03218) comes with a trading card. Once again, additional bonus items will also be given to customers who buy the single from select retailers.

Idoling!!! Imatsubu Accounts

Each member of Idoling!!! has opened an account on Imatsubu, Fuji TV's Twitter clone. Idoling!!!'s producer, Seita Kadosawa and MC, Hidetomo Masuno have been using Twitter for months, but this is the first time the Idoling!!! members have used a microblogging service.

Imatsubu accounts can be viewed without logging in, but if you want to follow your favorite members or send them messages, you'll have to create an account. Luckily, registration is free for anyone who can fill out the form. For those who already have Twitter accounts, Imatsubu has a Twitter integration feature that automatically sends your Imatsubu messages to your Twitter account.

I have added links to all of the Idoling!!! members' Imatsubu accounts to a new link list on the right side of this blog. There, you can also find links to Masuno's Twitter account and Kadosawa's Twitter and Imatsubu accounts.

Idoling!!! on Music Japan

Idoling!!! have been confirmed to appear on NHK's music show Music Japan. The shooting will take place on 5/17, but unfortunately they no longer take applications for the audience.

The show is scheduled for the following airing dates, but it's still unknown when Idoling!!! will be appearing: 5/23, 5/30, 6/6

Idoling!!! 8th live "Kono Kimochi wa sou da, are da, Koi nandeshou-ng!!!"

The title for Idoling!!!'s upcoming 8th live has been announced!

この気持ちは そうだ あれだ 恋なんでしょうング!!! (Kono Kimochi wa sou da, are da, Koi nandeshou-ng!!!)

The concert will once again be held at C.C Lemon Hall on 5/3. There will be two performances starting at 15.00PM and 18.30PM respectively, and this will also be the first live including the 4th generation.

Tickets are already on sale, so if you're planning on going you'd better act fast!

Idoling!!! 12th Single - Me ni wa Aoba Yama Hototogisu Hatsukoi

Details of Idoling!!!'s 12th single, Me ni wa Aoba Yama Hototogisu Hatsukoi, have been posted at the Idoling!!! official Web site. The tracklist is as follows:

This single will be released in three editions on June 9, 2010. Limited edition A (PCCA-03167) comes with a trading card and a DVD featuring the PV, the making video, and a 4th gen introduction movie. Limited edition B (PCCA-03168) comes with a yet-to-be-announced bonus item. The standard edition (PCCA-03169) comes with a trading card. Also, as with every Idoling!!! single to date, special bonuses will be given to those who purchase the single from select retailers.

Idoling!!! 4th Generation and 8th Live

The final round of the Idoling!!! 4th generation member auditions was held on March 6 at the Yoshimoto Prince Theater in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. The 10 remaining auditioners were given their final opportunities to appeal to the judges, and when it was all said and done, 5 girls were chosen to become the new 4th generation members of Idoling!!!

The addition of the 4th generation members brings Idoling!!!'s roster up to a total of 20 members. The final round of the 4th generation auditions will be broadcast as Idoling!!! @ Hachitama Live Vol.9 on Fuji TV NEXT on March 19.

Idoling!!!'s TV show will go on break after the March 18 episode. The 4th generation members will make their TV debut when the show comes back on April 1, and their first live concert will be the 8th live. Speaking of which...

Idoling!!!'s 8th live, Kono Kimochi wa, Sou da, Are da, Koi Nan Deshoung!!!, will take place on May 3 at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall. This will be Idoling!!!'s second concert series at C.C. Lemon Hall, the first one being last year's Idoling!!! Sotsugyou Live that featured the graduations of 4 Idoling!!! members. As with the previous live, this one will have afternoon and evening shows. In addition to the concert debut of the 4th generation members, this should also be the first live concert to feature songs from Idoling!!!'s newest album, SUNRISE.

Idoling 7th Live ~Jinsei = Shuugyounaringu!!!~

We now have information on the group's next live, and with the 4th generation audition playing a big part this might be the most exciting concert yet, depending on how you look at it of course.

The concert will take place at Tokyo Kouseinenkin Kaikan ten days from now on 1/24. Two performances are scheduled with the evening one being broadcast as usual on Fuji TV Next. As for the audition, there are currently 15 nominees announced which can be found here.
The nominees will make an appearance at the stage on the 7th live, where they can make further appeal to the audience.

Idoling!!!'s 3rd album in March

With barely 6 months since the release of their 2nd album, Idoling!!! will be releasing a 3rd album on 3/3 this year. There will be 4 versions available according to JBook:

Idoling!!! 11th single confirmed

Idoling!!!'s next single has been confirmed as the opening theme for the anime Fairy Tail airing on TV Tokyo, and the title has been announced as S.O.W. センスオブワンダー (Sense of Wonder). No further track listing is available as of yet, but the single will be released on 1/27 next year in three different versions.

This single will make it Idoling!!!'s second tie-up with an anime, with the first song being friend.

Idoling!!! 6th Live Information

For those who haven't been checking the schedules linked on the right side of this blog, Idoling!!!'s 6th live concert series, Ya! On!! ng!!!, is scheduled for late September. There will be three shows, one on September 22 and two on September 23. All of the shows will be held at Hibiya Open Concert Hall, and the last show will be broadcast live on Fuji TV Next.

The above clip from this week's Idoling!!! Nikki has some very interesting information about this upcoming live. There will be a live backing band performing with Idoling!!! The band's members are as follows:

Bass - ucchy
Drums - Junichi Haruki
Guitar - Kei Oouchi
Keyboard - Ena Kitajima

In addition to this band, another band will perform at this concert... a band that features the following Idoling!!! members:

Bass - Mai Endo
Drums - Rurika Yokoyama
Guitar - Yui Kawamura
Keyboard - Ami Kikuchi
Keyboard - Yurika Tachibana

As far as I know, Endo, Yokoyama, and Kikuchi definitely have experience playing their instruments, but I'm not really sure about Kawamura and Tachibana. Idoling!!! fans have already heard Kikuchi play the piano live, but now we finally get to hear the musical talents of some of the other Idoling!!! members.

Erika Yazawa Cast in Kodai Shoujo Dogu-chan

Idoling!!!'s Erika Yazawa has been cast in the lead role for a strange new show titled, Kodai Shoujo Dogu-chan. This one's kind of hard to explain, so just watch the trailer above and judge for yourself. (^o^)

This show will begin airing October 7 on MBS.

Erica Tonooka Cast in Abashiri Ikka The Movie

Idoling!!!'s Erica Tonooka has been cast in the movie version of Abashiri Ikka. Tonooka will be playing the lead role, a girl who is the most powerful member of a family of gangsters.
