As if the new Idoling!!! sub-units weren't enough news for this month, it was announced that in February of 2009, a collaboration unit consisting of members from Idoling!!! and AKB48 will be releasing a CD single. Both Idoling!!! and AKB48 will appear at the upcoming Push★1 idol audition event on January 31, and during the press conference for the event, AKB48 producer Yasushi Akimoto announced that a new collaboration unit named AKB-Idoling!!! would make its debut at Push★1. Members from both groups will be selected to be in the new unit, and they will release their single under the Pony Canyon label. This collaboration also opens the doors to allow the groups to appear on each other's TV shows.
On today's episode of Idoling!!!, it was announced that the group would be split into four special sub-units and compete against each other on the Oricon charts. The four sub-units are as follows:
Furifuri Idoling!!! Mai Endo, Rurika Yokoyama, Suzuka Morita, Hitomi Sakai
Furifuri Idoling!!! and Gizagiza Idoling!!! will release a double-A-side single on December 17. The groups' songs are titled, Hannin wa Anata desu and Na・Ga・Ra, respectively.
Ban Ban Idoling!!! and Kyun Kyun Idoling!!! will also release a double-A-side single, but it is currently untitled and will be released on January 1. The daily rankings of both singles will be closely monitored during their release periods, and the groups that perform better on the charts will be rewarded.
Furifuri Idoling!!! performed Hannin wa Anata desu on today's episode of Idoling!!!, and it can be viewed through YouTube thanks to moomisoling2.
Mai Endo, Mira Takiguchi, Fonchi, Yui Kawamura, Nao Asahi, and Hitomi Miyake made a couple of appearances at the movie premiere of Pyocotan Profile on November 29.
Idoling!!! will have a couple of release events for their upcoming photobook on December 13 and 21.
As announced on Idoling!!! episode #432 and Idoling!!!'s Web site, Idoling!!!'s fourth live concert series is scheduled for January 18. There will be two shows held at Nakano Sun Plaza--one at 1:00 PM and the other at 5:00 PM. Tickets are already available for fan club members, and will go on sale on November 29 for everyone else. Tickets will cost 5000 yen in advance and 5500 yen on the day of the concerts.
Erika Yazawa will have a release event for her 2009 calendar on November 15.
Mai Endo will be in an upcoming movie titled Kuchi Sake Onna 0 ~Beginning~, and she will make an appearance at the premiere of the movie on December 6.
Rurika Yokoyama has her first photobook, titled Ruriiro, scheduled for release on November 27.
Serina Nagano has another DVD scheduled for release on December 19. This one is a collaboration project with Chu→Boh magazine and is titled, Chu→Boh Gakuen ~ 09 Shoshun.

There will also be some changes to Idoling!!!'s TV show. Starting on November 3rd, Idoling!!! and Idoling!!! Nikki will switch places during the week on Fuji TV 721 and CSHD. So, for the group's normal 17:00~17:30 time slot, Idoling!!! Nikki will air on Monday, and Idoling!!! will air on Tuesday through Friday. The time slot for Idoling!!! Nikki on Fuji TV's standard broadcast channel will remain on Friday.
Also, Fan-sama Request!!! will be replaced by Onegai! Onegai! Fan-sama!!!, which is a revival of the old Onegai! Fan-sama!!! segment. Since most episodes do not feature all of the group's members, each Onegai! Onegai! Fan-sama!!! topic will be used for an entire week, which should allow each member a chance to read their chosen fan messages.
A box of Mai Endo goods titled Endo Mai Premium Box will be released on October 25. It includes a near-life-size tapestry, eight portraits, and a hand towel.
The title of the real main track for Idoling!!!'s next single has been revealed: Shokugyou: Idol. The title translates to Occupation: Idol.Tokimeki Dreaming!!! and Lemon Drop will appear on the single as coupling tracks.
Sayaka Kato, Maria Eto, Rurika Yokoyama, Hitomi Sakai, and Ami Kikuchi will be participating in a Toukai TV event called Toukai TV Dai Kanshasai on November 1st.
Mai Endo and Erica Tonooka both have 2009 Calendar release events scheduled in the same place on November 9th.
Mira Takiguchi will appear in her talent agency's stage play titled Ore wa Otoko da! on November 12th and 13th.
Mira Takiguchi has another Miraccho no Ohitori-sama Live Part II show scheduled for November 15th, this time in Osaka.
Fonchi has a 2009 Calendar release event scheduled on November 16th.
Last month, it was announced that Idoling!!!'s newest song, Tokimeki Dreaming!!!, would be used as the image song for the Robo Japan 2008 event, and it was widely assumed that this song would be used as the main track for Idoling!!!'s next single. But, it was recently announced on both Idoling!!!'s TV show and web site that Tokimeki Dreaming!!! would be on the next single, but it will not be the main track. The main track of the group's upcoming fourth single actually has yet to be announced.
It is possible that the single will have two main tracks like their first two singles (Ganbare Otome (Warai)/friend, Snow Celebration/Moteki no Uta), but it is more likely that Tokimeki Dreaming!!! will be a coupling track on the single along with Lemon Drop.
Mai Endo, Mira Takiguchi, Fonchi, Yui Kawamura, Nao Asahi, and Hitomi Miyake performed a couple of Idoling!!! mini-lives during the TV Shizuoka 40th anniversary celebration event titled Tereshizu Matsuri 2008 on October 4th.
Maria Eto and Ami Kikuchi will join Rurika Yokoyama at the upcoming Trickster Delivering Eco・Cafe Event on October 11th.
Suzuka Morita will appear at a railroad festival titled Dai 15kai Tetsudou Festival on October 12th.
Sayaka Kato, Maria Eto, Rurika Yokoyama, Yui Kawamura, Hitomi Sakai, and Ami Kikuchi will appear at the Shizuoka Kusanagi Baseball Festival on October 13th.
Serina Nagano has a second Ganbarimushroom release event scheduled on October 19th.
Sayaka Kato will appear alongside her Girls' Record talent agency peers in a stage play titled Gekidan Shortcake on November 2nd.
In addition to the three regular magazine appearances by Idoling!!! members (Love Berry, anicanR, B.L.T.), Idoling!!! now has a regular section in Scola.
Suzuka Morita will appear in the December issue of De-View, scheduled for release on November 1st.
Erica Tonooka and Mai Endo will appear in Young Gangan No.22 on November 7th.
Mai Endo, Erica Tonooka, and Erika Yazawa will appear regularly in a Friday night drama titled Tetsudou Musume ~Girls be ambitious~, starting on October 10th.
Mai Endo appeared in an episode of Rank Oukoku on September 28th.
Erika Yazawa appeared in another Shimura Ken no Bakatonosama SP on October 3rd.
The Tereshizu Matsuri 2008 event that Mai Endo, Mira Takiguchi, Fonchi, Yui Kawamura, Nao Asahi, and Hitomi Miyake performed at was also broadcast live on TV Shizuoka.
Mira Takiguchi will appear on a Fuji TV special show titled 2008 Nendo Kamiki Kentei on October 6th.
The October 12th episode of Folk Days will feature footage from this year's Tomoe-chan Folk Jamboree, which Idoling!!! made an appearance at.
